Amid a tumultuous season between the pipes, the Ottawa Senators are adding some net depth.
Goalie Lucas Beckman signed a three-year, entry-level deal with the club, it announced on Tuesday.
Beckman, 18, is currently competing in the QMJHL semifinals with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens, appearing in all eight playoff games to date without a loss and posting a .972 save percentage to go with a 0.75 goals-against average.
He recorded shutouts in each of his past two starts to seal a quarterfinal series win over the Québec Remparts.
The Montreal native was originally selected by the Senators in the fourth round of last year's draft.
