The Ottawa Senators have announced the signing of forward Jake Lucchini to a one-year, two-way contract with an average annual value of $750,000 at the NHL level.

Should Lucchini play in the minors — where he has spent his entire professional career to date — he will earn a salary of $130,000.

The undrafted 27-year-old spent the 2021-2022 season with the Senators' AHL affiliate in Belleville, where he netted 51 points in 72 games.

The year marked professional career highs for Lucchini in terms of games played, goals, assists, and penalty minutes. He also played in two AHL playoff games, earning one point.
