The Ottawa Senators are adding some depth up front.
Winger Arthur Kaliyev signed a two-way contract with the club, the team announced on Wednesday.
Kaliyev, 24, finished last season with the New York Rangers, who claimed him off waivers from the Los Angeles Kings. He had three goals and one assist in 14 games with the Rangers, who opted not to make Kaliyev a qualifying offer.
A second-round pick (33rd overall) by Los Angeles in 2019, Kaliyev has 38 goals and 37 assists in 202 career games.
Kaliyev reunites with Senators GM Steve Staios. The latter was team president and GM of a Hamilton Bulldogs team featuring Kaliyev that won the 2018 OHL championship.
Kaliyev averaged more than 40 goals a year in three OHL seasons.
