The Winnipeg Jets have acquired forward Zach Sanford from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick, Sportsnet can confirm.

Sanford is a pending unrestricted free agent currently on a one-year, $2-million deal. The 27-year-old has nine goals and eight assists in 62 games this season.

The Senators acquired Sanford from the St. Louis Blues in September, giving up forward Logan Brown and a conditional fourth-round pick in the trade.

Sanford won a Stanley Cup with the Blues in 2019.
