The San Jose Sharks traded defenceman Fredrik Claesson to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday, with Swedish goaltending prospect Magnus Chrona heading the other way.

Claesson, 28, has been held pointless through four games with the Sharks this season. He has also spent time with the Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils over his six-year NHL career.

Chrona has played the past two seasons in the NCAA with the University of Denver. He owns a 2.28 goals-against average and .915 save percentage through 45 games at the collegiate level.

Tampa Bay selected the 20-year-old in the fifth round of the 2018 draft.
