Ethan Cardwell is returning to San Jose.
The Sharks re-signed the winger to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced on Thursday.
Cardwell, 23, appeared in seven games with the team last season, scoring one goal. He made his NHL debut the season prior, skating in six contests and also registering a single goal.
The Oshawa, Ont., native was selected in the fourth round of the 2021 draft by the Sharks.
He has mostly spent his pro career in the AHL in the time since, tallying 41 goals and 65 assists across 155 games with the San Jose Barracuda.
