The San Jose Sharks have signed centre Tristen Robins to a standard entry-level deal, the team announced on Friday.
Robins, 19, was selected with the 56th-overall pick by the Sharks in the second round of October’s 2020 draft. In 62 games with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades in 2019-20, the Brandon, Man., native racked up 33 goals and 73 points.
“Tristen came off an impressive performance at the end of last season, scoring 16 points in the final nine games,” Sharks general manager Doug Wilson said in a release. “His game has improved since he made the move to center, and his puck possession, pursuit and skating ability fit in our system of how we want to play moving forward. We are excited to have him a part of our organization.”
In 134 career WHL games, Robins scored 42 goals and 99 points.
