A first-round pick is sticking around San Jose.
The Sharks re-signed defenceman Nolan Allan to a two-year contract, the team announced Tuesday. No financial terms were disclosed.
Allan, drafted 32nd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2021, joined the Sharks in a trade alongside goalie Laurent Broissoit in January.
The 23-year-old has 43 games of NHL experience, all with Chicago, tallying one goal and seven assists. He joined the Sharks' AHL affiliate San Jose Barracuda after the trade, where he put up two goals and 12 assists in 35 games.
Allan, of Davidson, Sask., also won gold as part of the Canadian world junior team in 2023.
