The San Jose Sharks are getting one of their top scorers back in the lineup.
Centre Will Smith will return from a 13-game absence against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday.
Smith hasn't played since Dec. 13 versus the Pittsburgh Penguins when he suffered an upper-body injury crashing into the boards.
Before the ailment, the 20-year-old totalled 12 goals and 17 assists across 33 games. Smith also sits at a plus-five for the 24-19-3 Sharks.
