St. Louis Blues sign forward Marcus Sylvegard to one-year, entry-level contract

The St. Louis Blues sign forward Marcus Sylvegard to a one-year, entry-level contract, the team announced Tuesday.

The 24-year-old from Gessie, Sweden, appeared in 51 games with Vaxjo of the Swedish Hockey League last season and registered a team-leading 41 points.

His 23 goals were second in league scoring.

Sylvegard has recorded 140 points (68 goals and 72 assists) in 320 games over nine seasons in the SHL.
