Jeremie Biakabutuka is headed to St. Louis.
The Blues signed the Canadian defenceman to a three-year, two-way, entry-level contract, the team announced Wednesday. The deal is worth $2.85 million, with an AAV of $950,000.
The 21-year-old from Longueuil, Que., made his first AHL appearance last season, suiting up for three games with the Grand Rapids Griffins. Before his professional hockey debut, he skated for five seasons in the QMJHL, tallying up 118 points (40 goals, 78 assists) in 266 career games.
Biakabutuka went undrafted and attended the Blues development camp earlier this summer.
