Colorado Avalanche goalie Mackenzie Blackwood had his night cut short.
Blackwood was replaced in net in Game 4 against the Dallas Stars in the third period after allowing five goals on 18 shots. Scott Wedgewood took to the crease for the final 20 minutes.
The 28-year-old Blackwood allowed a goal to the Stars just nine seconds into the game as Wyatt Johnston was able to sneak one past his pads shortly after the faceoff.
Shortly after the Avalanche were able to cut the deficit down to one goal with two quick markers, Blackwood allowed two quick goals to Johnston and Mason Marchment.
It was a rare stinker for Blackwood, who has been one of the most consistent goalies through four games this post-season, with a 1.60 goals-against average and .939 save percentage prior to Monday's game.
Blackwood, who was traded to the Avalanche from the San Jose Sharks last December, had a .913 save percentage through 37 regular-season games with Colorado — his highest save percentage since his sophomore season.
