The Dallas Stars have placed captain Jamie Benn, Luke Glendening, Ryan Suter and one support staff member into the NHL's COVID-19 protocol, the team announced on Wednesday.

The four join Radek Faksa, Jani Hakanpaa, Miro Heiskanen, Roope Hintz, Joel Kiviranta, Esa Lindell, Michael Raffl and Jason Robertson, along with two support staff members, on the team's COVID-19 protocol list.

The Stars were scheduled to face the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday, but that game was among the dozens of games postponed because of the latest COVID-19 surge in infections around the league.

The Stars 15-12-2 this season, good for sixth in the Central Division.
