The Dallas Stars will be without forward Roope Hintz as they host the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night.
Stars coach Pete DeBoer told reporters Thursday that Hintz is out with an upper-body injury and is considered day-to-day.
Hintz left Dallas's game Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first period after playing just four shifts and logging 2:27 of ice time.
It's unclear how the injury occurred, however, he was on the receiving end of a big hit from the Leafs' Auston Matthews before exiting.
The 28-year-old Hintz has 19 goals and eight assists in 42 games for the Stars this season.
Dallas went on to beat Toronto 4-1 on Tuesday, improving to 28-14-1 on the season.
