The Dallas Stars have signed forward Matej Blumel to a one-year, two-way contract that will begin in the 2024-25 season, the team announced Monday.
Blumel played his second season in the AHL with the Texas Stars where he score 31 goals and 62 points in 72 games.
The 24-year-old set career highs in goals, assists and points last season in the AHL and finished the season ranked fifth overall in the league in goals.
In the Calder Cup Playoffs, Blumel led the club with five goals and had nine points, which was second on the team.
Blumel was originally selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft. After going unsigned, Blumel agreed to a two-year entry-level contract with Dallas in 2022.
