Kyle Capobianco is sticking around in the Lone Star State.
The Dallas Stars signed the defenceman to a two-year, one-way contract extension on Wednesday, the team announced. The first year of the deal is worth $850,000, while he will make $900,000 in the second.
Capobianco, 28, had two goals and three assists in 33 games with the Stars last season, averaging 12:08 of ice time.
"Kyle brings size, mobility and offensive instincts to our blue line," Stars GM Jim Nill said in a statement. "His depth and flexibility will help us moving forward and we're excited to have him for two more years."
Capobianco has seven goals and 10 assists in 107 career NHL games with the Stars, Winnipeg Jets and Arizona Coyotes.
The Mississauga, Ont., native was selected by Arizona 63rd overall in the 2015 NHL Draft.
