Edmonton Oilers forward Kyle Turris, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Adam Brooks and Vancouver Canucks defenceman Travis Hamonic have been placed on waivers along with a long list of players as NHL teams make their final roster cuts.
Turris, 32, produced five points with the Oilers last season after signing a two-year, $3.3-million deal with the club last off-season.
Brooks, 25, spent last season split between the Maple Leafs and the AHL's Marlies, and recorded five points in 11 NHL appearances. He's on the final season of a two-year, $1.45-million deal he signed with Toronto last off-season.
Hamonic's season has been mired in uncertainty, stemming form his decision to stay at home in Manitoba for personal reasons instead of attending training camp. The 31-year-old didn't opt out of the upcoming campaign ahead of the Oct. 1 deadline but remained away from the team. The Canucks inked Hamonic to a two-year, $6-million contract in July after he had 10 points, three goals and seven assists, in 38 games last season.
