The Edmonton Oilers shook up their team with a big trade as free agency opened.
The Oilers agreed to trade veteran defenceman Darnell Nurse to the San Jose Sharks for prospects Shakir Mukhamadullin and Zack Sharp.
The Oilers also added another goalie via trade by acquiring Devon Levi from the Buffalo Sabres and signed former Pittsburgh Penguins defenceman Ryan Shea to a five-year deal.
After the moves, general manager Stan Bowman will speak to the media to discuss the opening day of free agency.
