Minnesota Wild prospect Matthew Boldy will be out for four to six weeks after fracturing his left ankle in a pre-season contest against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The incident occurred when Boldy, a roster hopeful for the Wild, got his leg tangled up with Blackhawks defenceman Connor Murphy on Thursday.

The 20-year-old was selected 12th overall by Minnesota in 2019 and represented the United States at the 2021 World Juniors, where he produced seven points in seven games.
