Defenceman Matt Kiersted is leaving the Florida Panthers organization.
The 27-year-old signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday, the team announced.
Kiersted, of Elk River, Minn., appeared in two games for the Panthers last season, recording one assist. He spent the majority of the season with their AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, tallying one goal and 28 assists in 64 games.
Over 39 career NHL contests, Kiersted has two goals and five assists.
He originally joined the Panthers in 2020 after four years at the University of North Dakota.
