The Minnesota Wild are bringing in some more top talent.
Defenceman Zeev Buium agreed to a three-year, entry-level deal with the Wild on Sunday, the team announced.
Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman initially reported that Buium could play on Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks
The top defenceman prospect was eliminated from the Frozen Four on Thursday after the Denver Pioneers lost the semifinals to the eventual champion Western Michigan Broncos in double overtime.
Buium had a stellar NCAA season where he recorded 13 goals and 48 points over 40 games played.
The Wild are on the brink of clinching a playoff berth, and Buium could provide extra help on a thin blue line.
