The Minnesota Wild signed forward Frederick Gaudreau to a five-year, $10.5-million contract extension on Thursday, the team announced.
The deal carries a $2.1-million average annual value and runs through the 2027-28 season.
Gaudreau has scored 17 goals and recorded 19 assists for 36 total points in 81 games with this season. He ranks first on the Wild in short-handed goals (four), fifth in goals and sixth in scoring on the campaign.
The 29-year-old has registered 98 points (36 goals, 62 assists) and has a plus-33 rating in 260 career games across six NHL seasons with the Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins and Wild.
