Bill Guerin won't be leaving Minnesota any time soon.
The Minnesota Wild signed the general manager to a multi-year contract extension on Tuesday, sources confirm to Sportsnet.

The Wild finished third in the Central Division last season with a 46-24-12 record. They defeated the Dallas Stars in Round 1 of the playoffs before falling to the Colorado Avalanche in Round 2.
Guerin, who has manned the Wild's front office since 2019, has turned Minnesota into a top destination for free agents and trade targets alike.
He made a franchise-altering move last season by acquiring then-Vancouver Canucks captain and Norris Trophy-winning defenceman Quinn Hughes, who immediately made an impact by scoring five goals and 53 points in 48 games after his trade.
But now Guerin faces the big task of convincing Hughes to stay in Minnesota.
Hughes, entering his final year under contract, became eligible to sign a contract with the Wild on July 1, but a week before the regular season begins, he has yet to put pen to paper on an extension.
Early this summer, Guerin asserted he's in constant contact with the 2024 Norris Trophy winner but stopped short of predicting how this saga will end.
"There's no tension... Communication is good," Guerin said, adding that he's spoken to Hughes numerous times over the phone throughout the off-season. "It's just these (negotiations) take time. I always say that because it's true."
