Frederick Gaudreau is on the move.
The Minnesota Wild are trading the forward to the Seattle Kraken for a fourth-round pick at the 2025 NHL Draft, the teams announced Thursday.
Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman was first to report the deal.
Gaudreau, 32, has been an NHL regular with the Wild during the 2021-22 season, where he broke out with 14 goals and 30 assists for a career-high 44 points, including four game-winning goals.
In 2024-25, the Bromont, Que. native potted 18 goals and 37 points while appearing in all 82 games.
Gaudreau is in the third year of a five-year, $10.5 million contract he signed in April 2023, which carries a $2.1 million AAV.
The undrafted centre has appeared in 410 NHL games with the Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators since making his debut in the 2016-17 season, scoring 61 goals and 152 points.
