The Minnesota Wild will be without two key players as they fight to keep their season alive.
Forward Joel Eriksson Ek and defenceman Jonas Brodin won't travel to Colorado for Game Wednesday against the Avalanche (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT), the team told reporters on Tuesday.
Neither player has appeared in the series as they battle injuries.
Eriksson Ek suffered a lower-body injury in Round 1 against the Stars when he went into the boards with his right leg going in first and needed to be helped to the bench.
He had three goals and two assists during the six-game triumph over Dallas.
Brodin left Game 5 against Dallas after taking a Mikko Rantanen shot off the foot early in the second period, and did not return.
The blue-liner tallied one assist in the post-season prior to the injury.
Colorado leads the series 3-1 with a trip to the Western Conference Final on the line.
