The Minnesota Wild's hot start to the season just got another boost.
Captain Jared Spurgeon is back in the fold ahead of Thursday's game against the Calgary Flames with Carson Lambos re-assigned to the Iowa Wild to make room.
The 36-year-old veteran was in top form with five points in six games before suffering an upper-body injury that has kept him sidelined for over a week.
The Wild look to bounce back from an overtime loss in Edmonton on Tuesday with a favourable matchup against a lowly Flames side (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT).
The Wild currently sit at 6-2-2.
