The Winnipeg Jets will be interviewing Barry Trotz for their open head coaching position, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
Trotz was let go by the Islanders last week after four seasons.
Trotz, who turns 60 in July, is a native of Dauphin, Man. He has been an NHL coach since 1998 with the then-expansion Nashville Predators and is third all-time in total coaching wins. Trotz led the Washington Capitals to the Stanley Cup in 2018 and the Islanders to back-to-back third-round appearances in 2020 and '21.
