Avalanche’s Kadri exits game vs. Rangers with lower-body injury

Colorado Avalanche‘s Nazem Kadri exited early in the third during the Avalanche’s 7-3 win over the New York Rangers and did not return. Head coach Jared Bednar said after the game the centre sustained a lower-body injury but did not provide any further information.

The 31-year-old previously missed a contest against the Ottawa Senators on Dec. 4 with an undisclosed injury.

Kadri had a goal and two assists in 12:54 of ice time during the contest. The 31-year-old has been on a tear in a resurgent season with 34 points through 22 games. Last season, he had 32 points in 56 games.

With the win, Colorado snapped a seven-game New York win streak.
