The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed defenceman Caleb Jones and forward Philipp Kurashev to one-year contracts on Friday.
Jones will earn $1.35 million while Kurashev’s deal carries a $750,000 salary cap hit.
Jones had 15 points (five goals and 10 assists) in 51 games last season — his first with the Blackhawks after arriving from the Edmonton Oilers in the Duncan Keith trade last July. The 25-year-old is the younger brother of fellow Blackhawks blueliner Seth Jones.
Kurashev recorded 21 points (six goals and 15 assists) in 67 games during his sophomore season with the club. The 22-year-old from Munsingen, Switzerland, was drafted in the fourth round, 120th overall, by the Blackhawks in 2018.
