Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the New Jersey Devils with a non-COVID related illness, the team announced.

The 34-year-old forward has eight goals and 14 points in 24 games this season.

The Blackhawks also placed former Toronto Maple Leaf and starting goaltender Petr Mrazek on injured reserve after he sustained a groin injury on December 3rd against the New York Rangers.
