Blues sign goaltender Joel Hofer to two-year, $1.55M contract extension

The St. Louis Blues signed goaltender Joel Hofer to a two-year, $1.55 million contract extension Tuesday.

Hofer made his NHL debut last season and recorded a 1-1-0 record, 3.07 goals-against average and .880 save percentage in two starts.

He has played 22 games with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League this season and has a 10-8-4 record with a 2.39 GAA and .922 save percentage.

The 22-year-old from Winnipeg was drafted in the fourth round, 107th overall, by St. Louis in 2018.
