Blues’ Walker signs two-year, two-way contract extension

St. Louis Blues forward Nathan Walker has signed a two-year, two-way contract extension with the team, President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Monday.

Originally signed by the Blues in July of 2019, the Cardiff, Wales native has played 25 career NHL regular-season games including eight last season for the Blues, tallying a goal and two penalty minutes.

Walker also dressed in four games during the 2021 season with the AHL’s Utica Comets, recording two goals and six penalty minutes.

The deal is worth $750,000 at the NHL level and $300,000 in the AHL, but an AHL increase will come in 2022-23, with the deal worth $750,000 in the NHL and $310,000 in the AHL that year.
