Boston Bruins goaltender Jaroslav Halak expects to become an unrestricted free agent, according to his agent, Allan Walsh.
Halak, who spent the last three seasons with Boston predominantly as a backup to Tuukka Rask, will be eligible to sign with any team when free agency begins on July 28.
Walsh said he expects there to be interest in the veteran netminder, though no specific teams were named.
In 19 games with the Bruins last season, Halak posted a 9-6 record with a 2.53 goals-against average and a .905% save percentage.
