Montreal Canadiens forward Joel Armia will not take the ice for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday.
Bumped from the lineup over the weekend due to COVID-19 protocol, Armia travelled to Tampa to join the team earlier in the day and was expected to be a game-time decision.
Jake Evans is expected to suit up in his place. Evans hasn’t played since being levelled by Winnipeg Jets’ Mark Scheifele in Game 1 of the second round of the playoffs.
The Lightning and Canadiens face off in Game 1 on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet.
