The Montreal Canadiens have announced two roster moves ahead of Thursday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Defenceman Mattias Norlinder will return to Frölunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League for the remainder of the NHL season. Norlinder, the 64th overall pick of the 2019 draft, has registered one assist in six games with the Habs.

Additionally, goaltender Cayden Primeau has been recalled from the AHL’s Laval Rocket and practised with the Canadiens on Thursday morning. Defenceman Corey Schueneman has been sent the other way and has been assigned to Laval.

Primeau, the 199th overall pick from 2017, has started two games this season for the Canadiens, recording two losses with an .877 save percentage and 4.82 goals against average.

The Canadiens (6-21-3) have the worst record in the Eastern Conference.
