The Vancouver Canucks’ woes continue as forward Jack Studnicka has been placed on injured reserve, the club announced. The nature of the injury is currently undisclosed.

In a corresponding move, the Canucks have recalled forward William Lockwood from AHL affiliate Abbotsford.

Studnicka played 11:14 in a 5-2 loss to his former team, the Boston Bruins, on Sunday night.

The forward was acquired from the Bruins on Oct. 27, and has one goal and one assist in seven appearances with the Canucks.

Though he hasn’t seen much playing time since being acquired for goalie Michael DiPietro and defenceman Jonathan Myrenberg, the forward was seen as a potential development piece for the team.
