The Vancouver Canucks have signed centre Carson Focht to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Focht, 20, appeared in 61 games with the WHL’s Calgary Hitmen in 2019-20, serving as an alternate captain. He had 32 goals and 56 points in the WHL last season and had 74 goals and 161 points over four seasons with the Hitmen and Tri-City Americans.
The six-foot-one Focht was originally a fifth-round pick (133rd overall) by the Canucks in 2019.
