Canucks sign Vincent Desharnais to two-year deal

After facing the Vancouver Canucks in the playoffs this season, Vincent Desharnais is joining the team.

The six-foot-seven defenceman signed a two-year, $4-million deal with the Canucks on Monday.

Desharnais had one goal and 10 assists in 78 games for the Edmonton Oilers last season. The Oilers beat the Canucks in a seven-game, second-round series.

Desharnais has one goal and 15 assists in 114 games for the Oilers.
