Christian Fischer returning to Coyotes on one-year contract

Power forward Christian Fischer is returning to the Arizona Coyotes on a one-year deal, the team announced.

Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports reports that Fischer has signed his qualifying offer worth $1,125,875.

Fischer, 25, had 10 points in 53 games last season and was third on the team in hits with 91. He has 84 points in 318 NHL games over six seasons with the Coyotes.

“We are very pleased to sign Christian,” general manager Bill Armstrong said in a statement. “He is a hard-working forward and a great teammate who is well-respected in our dressing room. We look forward to having him back next season.”
