Anaheim Ducks defenceman Josh Manson will be out about six weeks due to an oblique muscle injury and has been placed on injured reserve, the team announced Thursday.

The Ducks say Manson was hurt during Monday’s 1-0 win over the Minnesota Wild. He went pointless with 6:14 in ice time during the contest.

Manson sat out the team’s 3-2 loss to the Wild on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old has yet to record a point in three games this season. He had nine points across 50 games in 2019-20

His best season came in ’17-18 when he put up 37 points in 80 games with the Ducks, with whom he’s spent all seven of his NHL campaigns.
