After being selected in the fifth round of the 2023 draft, defenceman Rodwin Dionicio is officially a member of the Anaheim Ducks.

The team announced Friday that it signed Dionicio to a three-year entry-level contract beginning in the 2024-25 season.

Dionicio, 20, spent the 2023-24 campaign splitting time between the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires and Saginaw Spirit, racking up 25 goals and 48 assists in 60 games. He finished the year second among defencemen in goals and third in points.

The 129th-overall pick in last year’s draft, Dionicio was born in New Jersey and raised in Switzerland. He has represented Switzerland internationally on multiple occasions, suiting up in the World Junior Championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024.
