Flames’ Mark Jankowski to become UFA after not receiving qualifying offer

After trading down, the Calgary Flames selected Connor Zary from the Kamloops Blazers 24th overall.

Calgary Flames forward Mark Jankowski will become an unrestricted free agent after not receiving a qualifying offer before Wednesday’s deadline.

Jankowski, 26, had a down season offensively in 2019-20, scoring only five goals and posting seven points in 56 games. He has 64 points in 208 career games.

The Flames did extend qualifying offers to four players, including defenceman Oliver Kylington and winger Andrew Mangiapane.
