Flames’ Ritchie helped off ice after fight against Predators’ Borowiecki

Flames’ Brett Ritchie drops the gloves with Predators’ Mark Borowiecki. Ritchie is on the receiving end of a few hard shots, gets taken down and is forced to leave the game with help from teammates.

Calgary Flames winger Brett Ritchie left Tuesday night’s game after a fight with Mark Borowiecki of the Nashville Predators in the first period and did not return.

Ritchie was on the receiving end of several big punches and eventually fell to the ice.

While remaining conscious, the clearly dazed veteran needed help slowly limping off the ice, ending his evening.

“He was deemed out of the game,” Flames coach Darryl Sutter said after a 3-2 overtime loss.
