Flames sign Nicolas Meloche to one-year, $950K contract

The Calgary Flames have signed defenceman Nicolas Meloche to a one-year contract worth $950,000.

Meloche, 24, played 50 games with the San Jose Sharks last season, producing two goals, five assists and a minus-17 rating.

The LaSalle, Que., native was drafted 40th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in 2015.
