Calgary Flames defenceman Christopher Tanev returned to the lineup for Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday after missing the team’s previous four games with an upper-body injury.

The 32-year-old left Game 6 of the Flames’ first-round series against the Dallas Stars with an injury.

The Flames took forward Brett Ritchie out of the lineup and kept Michael Stone in, giving them seven defencemen.

The Toronto-born Tanev, 32, scored six goals and added 22 assists in 82 games during the regular season.

Tanev does not have a goal or an assist in six Stanley Cup Playoffs games this year.
