Flyers sign defenceman Samuel Morin to one-year, $750K extension

The Philadelphia Flyers have signed defenceman Samuel Morin to a one-year, $750,000 contract.

The 26-year-old was set to become a restricted free agent on Wednesday.

Morin appeared in 20 of his 29 career NHL games this past season and has twice battled back from knee injuries that required surgery, most recently in 2019-20.

He has one goal and 45 penalty minutes in his NHL career and had 44 points in 177 AHL games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms over the past five seasons.
