Golden Knights sign forward Danny O’Regan to one-year contract

The Vegas Golden Knights announced the signing of forward Danny O’Regan on Sunday to a one-year deal worth $700,000.

O’Regan, 26, was a fifth-round pick by the New York Rangers in 2012. He has logged 24 NHL games over three years with the San Jose Sharks and Buffalo Sabres.

Prior to his pro career, O’Regan spent four seasons at Boston University after playing in the U.S. National Development Team Program. He won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2012 U-18 World Junior Championship.
