Star defenceman Josh Morrissey is a game-time decision to return Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes, while forward Pierre-Luc Dubois is expected back Thursday vs. the Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets coach Rick Bowness said.

Morrissey left Saturday’s game against the Florida Panthers in the second period, but returned for one shift in the third before heading back to the dressing room.

Morrissey has been crucial to Winnipeg’s success this season, sitting second on the team with 67 points in 65 games while leading all Jets in ice time, averaging 24:06 per game.

Bowness told reporters that Kyle Capobianco would slot into the lineup if Morrissey can’t play against the Hurricanes.

Dubois, 24, has been in and out of the lineup in the past two weeks with an upper-body injury, missing the last four games. He has 24 goals and 31 assists for 55 points in 61 games for the Jets this season.
