Jets’ Sean Monahan misses game vs. Coyotes due to illness

Winnipeg Jets centre Sean Monahan did not take warmup and will not play Sunday against the Arizona Coyotes due to an illness.

Forward Rasmus Kupari is expected to take Monahan’s spot in the lineup.

The Jets acquired Monahan from the Canadiens in a trade on Feb. 2 and he has five goals in eight games since.

Kupari was acquired by the Jets in the Pierre-Luc Dubois trade with the Kings and has one assist in 22 games this season.
