Los Angeles Kings forward Quinton Byfield has been diagnosed with a fractured left ankle and will be out indefinitely, the team announced on Wednesday.
Byfield sustained the injury in Tuesday night’s pre-season game against the Arizona Coyotes.
The 19-year-old registered one assist in six games for the Kings last season. He was selected second overall by Los Angeles in the 2020 NHL Draft.
